IDrive Personal 5 TB costs USD 83.88 for the first year, then USD 119.88 a year at the standard price. That is USD 36.00 more, a rise of about 43%. IDrive's page says standard pricing applies from the second year onward.

Is the 2-year plan better?
The 2-year offer takes 50% off the first year. For 5 TB, that is USD 179.82 for 2 years, or USD 89.91 a year. Two yearly-plan years would cost USD 83.88 + USD 119.88 = USD 203.76, so the 2-year plan saves USD 23.94 over that time. The page does not state the price after the 2 years. The standard 2-year price shown is USD 239.76.
Paying monthly
Monthly billing for 5 TB is USD 11.99 a month, or USD 143.88 a year. The page shows no first-year discount on that tab.
Other costs to know
- Overuse: if you exceed your storage limit, the page says there may be a charge of USD 0.25 per GB per month on Personal plans, and USD 0.50 on Team and Business plans.
- Mini plans: 100 GB at USD 0.25 a month and 500 GB at USD 0.83 a month appear on the Yearly tab, for new signups. The page does not state a renewal price for these.
- Sync is separate: IDrive says Cloud Drive needs separate activation and is distinct from cloud backup.
